Reminder that there is a meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016 at Harrow United Church. Please NOTE the EARLY start for the meeting. This is due to our very busy agenda with the start of the Club’s new “year”. To start things off, Membership tasks and fees are due. We also have our Auction, which is always a lot of fun. Lindsay asks Members who are working on the 1/12th scale Hotel to bring their room box (in its current state — finished or not) to the September meeting for a check-in and to brain storm any questions or issues. Reminder that there is a meeting at 7:30 on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Harrow United Church. Lindsay asks Members who are working on the 1/12th scale Hotel to bring their room box (in its current state — finished or not) to the May meeting for a “dry fit” and to brain storm any questions or issues. If you have any items for the Red River Ex, please bring those to pass on to Penny. Many Members attended the MMM (Manitoba Miniature Meet) this past weekend and a great time was had by all — pictures to follow!

Please note that this is our Christmas Party Meeting. We have a section reserved at the Aaltos Buffet at Canad Inns by Polo Park at 1409 St. Matthews Avenue near Empress Street.

It is for 6:00 p.m. and the buffet is $16.99 for 55+. It will be turkey, and all the goodies.

We will still be doing the “give-a-gift, get-a-gift” activity, but we will have two different gift pools, one of 1/12 scale gifts and one of 1/4 scale gifts. So, if you collect 1/12, bring one in 1/12 and if you collect in 1/4, bring one in 1/4. Participation is completely voluntary and we suggest that the value of the gift be somewhere between $10 to $15, but not over $15, if possible.

TOPS pins will also be distributed to those who filled out their forms and got them in to Janice.

This is also special as it is the 35th year anniversary of our Club. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Our September Auction was a great success! A lot of wonderful items were donated and fun was had by all. The money raised goes to help offset club costs for things such as the newsletter, so every bit is greatly appreciated. A big “Thank You” to our “auctioneers”, “accountants”, those who donated, and those who purchased — in other words — everybody!!

The winner of the September Door Prize was Belynda S., who won a delightful and colourful Jack-in-the-Box and toy made/donated by Cheryl H. Next month’s Door Prize will be provided by Belynda.

At our next meeting, we will be sorting out any final details for our upcoming Show and Sale, being held on October 19th. Go to our EVENTS page for all of the Details!! Ads will be available to take for placement around the community. Also, for those Members who would like to participate, we will be working on a small project by Lindsay. It is a lovely bird feeder with a bird included.

Our annual auction will be held at the September meeting. Members are encouraged to bring one miniature item of good quality for the auction.

Registration Dues are due at the September meeting. Please place payment, cash or cheque, in an envelope with your name, address, telephone number, and email address written on the outside of the envelope. A draw to win back your membership will be held for all those who pay their dues at the September meeting.

Club Members are to see Georgina if they wish to sign up for October Workshops.
